Gradient overlay

  • 3 tsps. unsaturated cooking oil
• 3 Cloves garlic, chopped finely
• 1 Red chili, chopped finely
• 1 Large bunch spinach, washed & chopped finely
• ½ Cup Quaker Instant / Quick Cooking Oats
• 1 Cup low or non-fat milk
• ½ tsp. Salt
• ¼ tsp. Black pepper powder

 

Cooking Instructions

• Heat oil in a non-stick pan and stir-fry garlic and chilies until the garlic browns slightly.
• Add spinach and continue stirring on a high flame for about 1 – 2 minutes. 
• Cover and cook the spinach on a simmering flame, until it softens and is cooked. 
• Add oats, milk, salt and pepper and stir continuously until the mixture becomes really thick and leaves the sides of the pan. 
• Remove from the heat and let the mixture cool. 
• Shape the mixture into croquettes and grill in a moderately hot oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, flipping the other side during half-time. 
• Serve hot with chili sauce.
