Some people are following incorrect ways in preparing food meals every day, which can harm the health of all family members, like adding a large amount of fats and margarine in most of their daily dishes, while neglecting vegetarian meals. Also, running to fast food meals that are full of fats, in addition to many other wrong practices could increase the risk of different diseases.

That’s why we will shed light on some of the simple and fast cooking methods that you can practice on a daily basis.

First: Preparing healthy soup

We can enjoy a healthy soup every day through several ways:

Boiling large amount of mixed vegetables (Carrots, Broccoli, zucchini, celery, beans) with the addition of bay leaves and cardamom. You can make a large quantity of this soup then keep it refrigerated, and served in daily portions after heating.

Boiling chicken or meat with a little quantity of spices (cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, cinnamon) then drain the chicken or meat and keep the stock in the freezer for 2-3 hours, then skim the layer of fat on top. It can be prepared the next day by adding some oats along with vegetables cut into small pieces, and enjoy a healthy dish of soup at lunch or dinner time.

Second: Avoiding fried cooking

To reduce our daily consumption of excessive calories, we must refrain completely from eating fried food meals and replace it with oven baked meals like:

Adding boneless chicken pieces of fat free meat or fish fillet with potato cubes and little parsley, then adding a pinch of salt, pepper, curry, lemon juice, and some olive oil then cover and bake in a medium heated oven.

To season boneless chicken fingers, marinate it in yoghurt with a little garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika then cover with flour and place it in the oven, and here we have healthy and crispy chicken that can be served with a variety of fresh vegetables. 

Third: Preparation of healthy desserts

Desserts are considered one of the most harmful foods for health because they contain more fat and sugars. That’s why we should reduce the amount of desserts consumed daily by eating small pieces of sweets only once a week or preparing healthy desserts made of oatmeal and fruits or yoghurt, and using whole wheat flour to make healthy oat cookies.

Healthy oatmeal cookies recipe

  • 1 cup of oats
  • ¾ cup of whole wheat flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. of baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. of butter
  • 1 tbsp. of canola oil
  • 1 large egg white
  • 4 tbsp. of brown sugar


Mix all dry ingredients together and then mix all the other ingredients together and add to dry ingredients, then form it into small ball shapes and bake in a hot oven for 12 minutes.

Also, walnuts or almonds can be added to increase the nutritional value.
