Prepared with Quaker Oats


    For The Hot Dog Mix:

  • ½ kilo meat
  • 1 of each: carrot, onion, celery diced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ Cup Quaker Oats
  • 2 Big potatoes
  • 5 Cups water
  • ¼ Teaspoon mixed seasoning (nutmeg, coriander, cardamom)
  • Salt and peppercorns
  • For The Coating:

  • 2 Cup Quaker Oats
  • 1 Cup flour
  • 2 Whisked eggs
  • ½ Teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying


  1. Boil meat with water
  2. Add vegetables, bay leaves and simmer until tender
  3. Remove cooked meat and set aside
  4. Wash, cut the potato in half and boil with salt till tender
  5. Cool, peel and mash
  6. Grind meat in a food processor until soft
  7. Blend in the mashed potato, oats, salt, pepper and spices
  8. Shape the meat into fingers
  9. Dip in the flour, eggs and oats seasoned with paprika
  10. Fry in hot oil until golden brown or bake in preheated 180 degrees oven for about 20-25 minutes
  11. To serve: Top with ketchup, mustard and fresh tomato slices
