Prepared with Quaker Oats


  • 1 cooking apple.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  • 1 tablespoon golden caster sugar.
  • 2 tablespoons water.
  • 1 small handful of ready soaked apricots, diced.
  • 1 dessertspoonful of pumpkin seeds.


  1. Peel & core the apple.
  2. Cut it into chunks.
  3. Put them with the cinnamon, sugar & water in a heavy saucepan and simmer gently until softened.
  4. Allow to cool a little.
  5. Spoon over the cooked porridge.
  6. Top with the apricots & pumpkin seeds.
